Taouab PT16 PLUS B5 is a lightweight gypsum plaster designed for mechanical spray application in interior projects. Setting and Recoating

Application Method

Before treating the joints, the boards must be properly fixed and any panel movement avoided. The product is applied manually by buttering and filling the joint, embedding the tape, and then applying a finishing coat with smoothing after drying. For vertical external angles, reinforcement tape or metal corner beads are recommended. 

Use Precautions

  • Application and drying temperature must remain between 5°C and 30°C

  • Do not apply on damp substrates

  • Do not use paste that has already started setting

  • Do not add extra water once setting has started

  • In winter and as much as possible, prefer 30-minute or 8-hour compounds

  • Self-adhesive tape is not recommended and is not covered by the provided technical note

  • Use a self-adhesive tape only when it is directly bonded to the board and not located above an empty area 

Professional Advice

  • To avoid surface fuzzing, do not sand the board paper before applying the undercoat

  • If wall angles are not straight, use a plaster coat first

  • 24-hour compound is recommended for warm weather

  • 24-hour compound offers very long working time and is suitable for large projects

Taouab Finish C7 is a white gypsum-based interior finishing compound designed for smoothing and final surface preparation on walls, ceilings, and other interior substrates. Application Method

Application is done manually using a trowel, smoothing blade, or putty knife. After drying, any imperfections can be sanded if necessary.

Substrates must be prepared in accordance with good practice standards. Surfaces must be hard, cohesive, clean, dry, and free from dust. Old paints should be washed before application.
