GYPSUM FINISHING COMPOUND Taouab Finish C7

Taouab Finish C7 is a white gypsum-based interior finishing compound designed for smoothing and final surface preparation on walls, ceilings, and other interior substrates. It can be applied on common building surfaces with good flatness, including gypsum, plasterboard, old painted surfaces, cement, concrete, tiles, and thin wall coverings. The product is intended for interior use only and provides a fine finish, easy sanding, strong covering power, and a smooth final surface suitable for painting and decorative finishing.

• Mixing Ratio (water / powder): 0.35 – 0.40

• Consumption: 1 kg/m² per 1 mm thickness

• Density: 950 – 1000 kg/m³

• Drying Time: 2 to 4 hours depending on substrate thickness and ambient conditions

• Mixing Guide:

  • Approximately 9 to 10 litres of water per 25 kg bag

  • Approximately 2 litres of water per 5 kg bag 

Application Method

Application is done manually using a trowel, smoothing blade, or putty knife. After drying, any imperfections can be sanded if necessary. 

Surface Preparation

Substrates must be prepared in accordance with good practice standards. Surfaces must be hard, cohesive, clean, dry, and free from dust. Old paints should be washed before application. 

Recommendations and Precautions

• Do not apply on polystyrene

• Do not apply on glued coverings

• Do not apply outdoors

• Application and drying temperature should be between 8°C and 35°C

• Do not apply on overheated substrates

• Do not apply on damp surfaces

• Do not remix the paste once it starts setting

Storage and Handling

Store in a dry place away from humidity. Tool residues can be removed by scraping after drying; washing with water is not necessary in every case.
