Taouab PT16 PLUS B5 is a lightweight gypsum plaster designed for mechanical spray application in interior projects. According to the product sheet, it is a single-coat gypsum plaster suitable for rigid and absorbent substrates in both new construction and renovation works, including hotels, office buildings, and commercial buildings, except humid rooms.

Suitable Substrates

The brochure states that PT16 can be mechanically applied on common rigid and absorbent substrates, including:

• Mixing Water: 60 to 70 L of water per 100 kg of plaster

• Application Thickness: about 1 cm depending on substrate type and condition

• Coverage / Yield: approximately 8 kg/m² for 1 cm thickness

• Initial Set / Start of Setting: around 60 minutes

• Final Set / End of Setting: around 160 minutes

Application Method

The product sheet describes the following application steps:

1. Prepare the machine and pour the plaster into a clean, adjusted spray machine

2. Reinforce corners using corner beads

3. Spray the plaster while keeping the lance at about 20 cm from the substrate

4. Level the plaster with a straight edge horizontally then vertically

5. Scrape/cut imperfections and smooth the surface for a straight and finished result

• Performance can be affected by incorrect water/plaster ratio

• Incorrect use or failure to respect setting time can reduce performance

• Store the product in a dry place away from humidity
