Taouab Enduit de Jointement is a powder jointing compound specially formulated for the treatment of gypsum board joints. It is designed for use with paper joint tape on tapered-edge plasterboards and is available in multiple working-time versions to suit different site conditions and application needs. The product is suitable for manual or mechanical application, offers excellent slip and smooth finishing performance, and is positioned for both standard projects and large-scale jobs.

30 Minutes Variant

Fast-setting powder joint compound specially formulated for gypsum board joint treatment with standard paper tape. 

8 Hours Variant

Powder joint compound for gypsum board jointing with paper tape, designed for larger worksites and longer working time. 

24 Hours Variant

Powder joint compound for gypsum board jointing with paper tape, featuring very long working time and suitable for manual or mechanical application.

Setting and Recoating

• Recoating can be carried out about 4 hours after application for the 30-minute version

• About 8 hours drying time for the 8-hour version

• Recoating can be done about 8 hours after the first coat for the 24-hour version 

Application Method

Before treating the joints, the boards must be properly fixed and any panel movement avoided. The product is applied manually by buttering and filling the joint, embedding the tape, and then applying a finishing coat with smoothing after drying. For vertical external angles, reinforcement tape or metal corner beads are recommended. 

Use Precautions

• Application and drying temperature must remain between 5°C and 30°C

• Do not apply on damp substrates

• Do not use paste that has already started setting

• Do not add extra water once setting has started

• In winter and as much as possible, prefer 30-minute or 8-hour compounds

• Self-adhesive tape is not recommended and is not covered by the provided technical note

• Use a self-adhesive tape only when it is directly bonded to the board and not located above an empty area 

Professional Advice

• To avoid surface fuzzing, do not sand the board paper before applying the undercoat

• If wall angles are not straight, use a plaster coat first

• 24-hour compound is recommended for warm weather

• 24-hour compound offers very long working time and is suitable for large projects
