Taouab Perlite Construct is a construction-grade expanded perlite designed for lightweight mortars, plaster mortars, thermal insulation, acoustic insulation, wall filling, floor screeds, and roof applications. The technical brochure presents it as a natural siliceous volcanic material that expands after heating, creating very light white granules with microscopic cavities. It is positioned as a lightweight, non-toxic, non-combustible, rot-proof, and environmentally friendly construction material suitable for insulation and lightweight building applications.

Product Forms / Grades

Installation / Application Advice

The brochure explains that expanded perlite can be used in lightweight mortar by mixing it with cement, water, or sand. It is preferable to verify that the installation area, especially roofs, is not exposed to possible water leakage. It may also be combined with a second insulating material or mixed with a hydrophobic binder depending on the intended use.
